🎓 Training & Professional Accreditation


Dr Lui graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Faculty of Medicine in 2001. He subsequently obtained his Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2006. He achieved specialist accreditation in Rheumatology in Singapore in 2009 and was later elected:

  • Fellow, Academy of Medicine Singapore (2012)
  • Fellow, Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (2015)

🏥 Clinical Leadership & Contributions


Before entering private practice, Dr Lui served as Consultant Rheumatologist at the Autoimmunity and Rheumatology Centre, Singapore General Hospital (SGH), where he helped with the formation and running of the sub-specialty clinics in Spondyloarthritis and SLE.

In 2009, he was awarded the prestigious SingHealth Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) fellowship, training at Toronto Western Hospital, University of Toronto, in Ankylosing Spondylitis. Upon returning to SGH, he established the clinical and research frameworks that shaped SGH’s dedicated Spondyloarthritis service.

A passionate educator, Dr Lui played a key role in shaping rheumatology training in Singapore. He served as:

  • Principal Investigator, MEASURE2 Phase 3 Trial (Secukinumab for Ankylosing Spondylitis)
  • CoInvestigator, FUTURE2 Phase 3 Trial (Secukinumab for Psoriatic Arthritis)
